There is still no word on why my dad’s temperature dropped so drastically yesterday, sending him back to the hospital. Numerous tests and blood cultures have been run and the hardest part for him is the not knowing. The hardest part for all us is the not knowing.
He is still not walking unassisted and even then, only a few steps at a time. Today, he was sitting up and eating lunch while I was there. His appetite is still minimal, but he is picking apart the food they are feeding him. That’s a lot better than it was yesterday!
He’s had lots of visitors to keep him busy. He is complaining about Saturday being the worst day for television and instead he is doing a lot of reading. It seems like weekends are the hardest days to get any answers. Hopefully some of these cultures will come back with an answer, we can get whatever it is treated, get him back to the assisted living home where he will get therapy on his knees and then eventually, back to his house where he wants to be most of all.
