My name is Claire Sinclair and I have been told that I take on too many projects. Some of these projects are small, such as decorating or rearranging the furniture. Others are much bigger, like The Pajama Drives and food drives I organize. I have decided that my newest project will be “A Project for Kindness”. My goal is that it is my biggest project yet!
This project started with the intention of writing every single day. I was looking for inspirational things to write about; kindness, good deeds, inspirational people…and I did it!
Then, in March, my mom passed away suddenly and the blog began to take a different path. Although still about kindness, and spreading kindness wherever you go, I also started writing using a more personal side. Then my 31 year old sister-in-law died three weeks after my mom, also completely suddenly.
This has really changed my way of thinking. Not negatively, but even more positively than before. I realize that we have to live our lives to the fullest and enjoy the days that we have with each other. I miss my mom so much, and find myself wanting to call her all of the time. Now, some of the things I would have shared with her, become part of my blog.

Hello,
I happened on your blog by accident tonight, and wanted to tell you thank you! I love your stories. I am a 1st grade teacher, and also have NF1. I am having 5 neurofibromas removed from my foot in December over winter break. I am nervous about two weeks not being enough time to recoup. But I guess we do what we do. I, like you, don’t sit still well..
Anyway, thank you for creating this blog.

Wow! Coincidence that you happened up on the blog?? I will be honest, my foot hurt more then I expected it to. Are they large? I have several more on my foot but didn’t want to do them all at once. These two were interfering with my shoes. If I had done anymore, it would have been considered “too cosmetic” which upsets me because insurance doesn’t cover that. I get upset because I am not enhancing anything to change my body so I don’t think it should be cosmetic. Do you have many neurofibromas in other places? I’d love to keep in contact with you about this. There are so few people I meet with it, it is nice to know someone going through the same thing!
This is too cool. I was so excited to see your reply this morning! I
Would love to keep in contact with you. Are you on Facebook? My email is stacerstj@yahoo.com. The bumps on my foot range in size from the size of a pea to about the size of a penny. Some are “flatter” than others, like the 3 on the sole of my foot. I do have others on MANY places on my body. As I get older, I notice more showing up. I am hoping my insurance covers this, I too would like the doctor to remove as many as he can while I am sedated. I had one small one removed from my face about 3 weeks ago. It is still healing. I have had many surgeries to remove them from my scalp as well…please do keep in touch.
