With all of the news focused on the tragedies and sadness in our world, I wanted to create a place where people could go to read about the goodness in people.
Kindness may be a simple word, but its actions can change the world! Everyday we make choices in the way we treat other people and things. Acts of kindness do not have to be difficult. Some of them are very small, simple actions, but even the smallest, most simple act of kindness can make a difference in someone’s life in a big way.
- Hold the door for the person behind you
- Give a compliment
- Next time you bake, make extra and share
- Call someone you have not spoken to in awhile
- Smile
For an extensive list of simple ways to be kind, check out http://loveistheword.org/101-random-acts-of-kindness/
I would like to start each blog with a quote about kindness to help inspire. I hope that others will join in and share random acts of kindness they see happening around them!
This is awesome!
Thanks so much Eileen! Hope it inspires a lot of people!
Hi Claire! just discovering your site through FB. I’ve been sending love and peace your way in the midst of your loss…..
I love this blog. I think you should put your name on the About me, section. I am proud of you and proud to know you. What a beautiful project!

Thank you so much. I will have to go back and add my name. This was something so new to me in January. I cannot believe how long I have stuck to it. There are definitely days where I feel at a loss to write, but is has really been an adventure for me. I appreciate your support. 🙂
This is wonderful, Claire. I don’t know if it has to do with your resolution, but Silas is being so much kinder to his brother lately! Whatever you’re doing in your classroom, don’t stop. 🙂

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence! Our class is made up of a great bunch of kids. Hopefully, they will to continue to promote the kindness and spread it around!
Found this site from a wonderful link at Skippy the Bush Kangaroo. Shared your “A Day At the Ballpark” piece here (for no other reason than it was a beautiful story) – http://raisingkidswithoutreligion.net/2013/08/12/religion-in-public-schools/#comments
Great site. Keep up the good work!
